Terms of Service
Last updated: June 13, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SearchProof (“SearchProof”, “we”, “us”). SearchProof is a free service that displays verified Google Search Console metrics for properties you own and choose to share publicly. By connecting a Google account or otherwise using SearchProof, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
SearchProof lets a site owner connect Google Search Console (read-only), choose owner-verified properties, and publish a Site Page showing aggregate search metrics — clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position. A daily sync keeps published metrics current. There are no accounts: your identity is established only during an active Google sign-in. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Eligibility and ownership
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into these Terms. You may only add properties for which Google reports you as a site owner. If another verified owner of a property already listed on SearchProof completes the connect flow and claims it, ownership of that Site Page transfers to them; the Site Page and its URL remain unchanged. By adding a property, you confirm you are authorized to make its aggregate metrics public.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for the properties you choose to publish. You agree to provide accurate information and to use SearchProof in compliance with applicable laws and with Google’s terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Add or claim properties you do not own or are not authorized to publish.
- Attempt to access data, accounts, or properties that are not yours.
- Interfere with, disrupt, overload, scrape at scale, or attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent the security of the service.
- Use SearchProof for any unlawful, deceptive, or abusive purpose.
We may suspend or remove access, or take down a Site Page, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
Public display and your content
When you add a property, you grant SearchProof permission to display its aggregate metrics and a public site label on Site Pages and the leaderboard for as long as the property remains active. You can revoke this at any time by removing the site. Metrics are sourced directly from Google Search Console and are presented as reported by Google.
Data and removal
You can permanently remove any site you have added at any time via /remove. We keep your encrypted refresh token only to keep your metrics current and discard it when you remove your last site or revoke access. See the Privacy Policy for full detail on retention and your rights.
Availability and changes to the service
SearchProof is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and metric availability depends on Google Search Console and our sync process, which we do not guarantee will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SearchProof is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the metrics shown are accurate, complete, or current, as they originate from Google.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SearchProof and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Because SearchProof is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Intellectual property
The SearchProof name, site design, and software are owned by us and protected by applicable law. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding except to share your own Site Page links. Your metrics and property information remain associated with you as their owner.
Termination
You may stop using SearchProof at any time by removing your sites and revoking access in Google. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required to protect the service or comply with the law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We will update the “Last updated” date above, and continued use of SearchProof after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of SearchProof is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law grants you rights in your place of residence.
Disclaimer
SearchProof is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. “Google” and “Google Search Console” are products of Google LLC.
